Title:  Polaris
Genre:  YA sci-fi

After seventeen year-old Geneva Reid is found floating in the middle of the ocean, missing for ten years without having aged a day, she struggles to understand the events leading up to her disappearance and the reasons why she is in danger now.

    I might break it into two sentences for clarity. Seventeen.... She struggles....

    Work on the goal - she must need to DO something besides just understand. You only hint at the consequences of failure. Be more explicit.

  2. Oh, I LOVE this idea! Very Jason Bourne.
    A little confused tho by her age - did she disappear when she was 7 or 17? Assume the latter but she'd still be 27 even if she doesn't look like she's aged a day. Years pass even if she's in another dimension (or wherever she was.)
    Agree with Heather on your stakes - be specific. You have room.

  3. I agree that this is really intriguing, but a bit on the short/vague side. A hint about where the danger is coming from and some more specifics about her goals would be welcome. Good luck!

    I agree though, it's a bit too vague. We need to know more about the consequence and goal. Also, is there an antagonist? Why is she in danger? These are the questions that popped into my head as I read this.
